Bio
It was in a moment of creative artistry just two years ago that a producer friend Scrote urged Brett Anderson of The Donnas and Paul Stinson of The Radishes to participate in a joint musical project.
An instant connection formed between the two and they began writing and recording songs just for the pure enjoyment of it.
On her inspiration for The Stripminers, Brett Anderson explains, “I’ve always had songs that I wrote just for the sake of writing, without any specific destination in mind. Ever since Paul and I started working together it’s been great to find a place for those tunes, and write new ones together. Working with such versatile, talented musicians has inspired us to take more risks, and develop a new sound together.”
The Stripminers are:
BRETT ANDERSON (The Donnas) – lead vocals.
PAUL STINSON (The Radishes) – lead vocals & guitar.
DJ BONEBRAKE (X, The Knitters) – drums & vibes.
SCROTE (Daniel Johnston, Puscifer) - guitar.
HOLLAND GRECO (Anais Mitchell, The Peak Show) – keys, banjo & guitar.
BRETT SIMONS (Brian Wilson, FionaApple) – bass.
